Finding & Organizing Notes
Search, sort, tag, pin, archive, and trash features for finding and organizing your notes.
To search notes
- Tap the search bar at the top of the note list
- Enter keywords (full-text search)
To sort notes
- Tap the sort icon
- Choose from: date updated, date created, last accessed, or title
※ Switch between grid and list view with the display mode icon.
To pin a note
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the note editor
- Select "Pin"
Alternative:
- Tap the ⋮ button (bottom right) on the note card → "Pin"
- Long press (on the browser version, click the checkmark at top left) → pin from multi-select mode
※ Drag to reorder within the pinned section. The section can be collapsed/expanded.
To bulk-operate on multiple notes
- Long press a note (on the browser version, click the checkmark at top left)
- Enter multi-select mode
- Choose an action: pin, archive, delete, or share
※ When exactly 2 notes are selected, the "Link" icon in the AppBar becomes active and lets you create a bidirectional link between them (disabled when they are already linked).
To filter notes by tag
- Open the side menu → "Tags"
- Tap a tag to show only notes with that tag
※ Tags are auto-extracted from #tagname in the body. You can also add tags from the Tags tab in the note editor. You can also filter the tag list using its search bar.
To restore archived notes
- Open the side menu → "Archive"
- Select a note and restore it
※ You can also filter the archive using its search bar.
To restore notes from trash
- Open the side menu → "Trash"
- Select a note and restore it
※ You can also filter the trash using its search bar.
※ Permanently deleted notes cannot be recovered. Trash retention can be changed in Settings → Data Control (7 days to unlimited).
