Enhancing Notes with AI

AI features available in the note editor to enhance your content quality.

To improve a note with AI

1. Tap the 🧠 button in the note editor toolbar
2. Select a feature:

• Title generation: Suggest a title from body text
• Summary: Condense the body text
• Tag suggestions: Suggest relevant tags
• Related note suggestions: Find related notes
• Atomic notes: AI splits the memo into the smallest indivisible units of thought, following the Zettelkasten method. Create each candidate individually or all at once. The original memo stays and each atomic note is automatically linked back to it. Tick the checkbox to archive the original and inherit only relevant existing links to each atomic note. Available on Free (an ad plays once the AI quota is exceeded; Premium has no ads).

To import content with AI

1. Tap the ✦ button in the note list
2. Select a feature:

• URL summary: Summarize URL content into a note
• Text extraction (OCR): Extract text from an image (mobile only)

※ View past AI results from the 🧠 button → "History".

※ AI features that read memo content (summary, tag suggestions, related notes, atomic notes, title generation, etc.) require enabling "Send data to AI services" in Settings → Data Control. URL summary and OCR (file text extraction) do not transmit memo content and remain available even when the toggle is OFF.

About images in memos

When you save a memo, AI reads any images you pasted into it and records the text they contain and what they show. Chat and quiz generation can then take image content into account (whiteboard photos, document screenshots, diagrams, and so on).

※ Only newly pasted images are analyzed; images already in existing memos are not. ※ Image content is sent to AI services, so nothing is analyzed while "Send data to AI services" is OFF. ※ This analysis does not count toward your AI usage.
