Can I use the app without signing in?

Yes. You can create, edit, search, tag, and link notes without signing in.

Signing in is required for:

• Cross-device sync
• Backup and recovery
• Subscriptions (Premium) and purchase restore on device changes
• AI chat, quiz, memo summarization, tag generation, etc.
• MCP (connectors)

Help chat is available without signing in.

What happens to my notes when I sign out?

Signing out does not delete local notes on your device. Cloud-synced notes are temporarily hidden but will reappear when you sign back in.

However, uninstalling the app permanently removes local notes. We recommend signing in and syncing important notes to the cloud beforehand.

Can I use help chat without signing in?

Yes. Help chat is a support feature that explains how to use the app and is available without signing in.

The regular chat feature (AI conversations that reference your notes) requires signing in.
