AI Chat

Talk with the AI, grounded in the content of your memos.

To start an AI chat

1. Tap the "Chat" tab in the bottom navigation
2. Type and send a message

※ AI uses your note content as context for responses (streaming supported). The chat session is preserved when switching to other tabs.

To start a new chat

• Tap the "+" (new chat) icon at the top of the Chat screen

To manage chat history

1. Tap the menu icon at the top left (or swipe from the left edge)
2. In the history panel, select, rename, or delete sessions

To ask by voice

1. Tap the mic button inside the chat input box
2. What you say appears above the input box and is inserted into it each time you pause
3. Tap the mic again to stop listening

Note: you can edit the text before sending. This uses the same mechanism as voice input for notes; the mic button is hidden on devices and browsers that do not support it.

To have the AI search the web

1. Tap the globe icon (Web search) in the chat input row to turn it on
2. Send your question as usual

• When on, the AI searches the web only when it decides it needs to. Questions it can answer from your notes or its own knowledge won't trigger a search.
• When it does search, links to the sources appear at the end of the reply. A reply without those links did not use the web.
• Where the reply draws on one of your notes, a link to that note appears inline. Tap it to open the note. The "Related notes" list below the reply also shows only the notes actually used (nothing appears if none were).
• Off by default. It stays on for the rest of the time you have the app open, and returns to off the next time you open it.
• Available on Free too (past the AI usage allowance, mobile can continue by watching an ad and web shows a next-day reset notice).

※ AI chat and Quiz pass memo content to AI, so enable "Send data to AI services" in Settings → Data Control (a guard dialog appears if it is OFF).

※ AI chat and Quiz are available on the Web Free plan as well. On Mobile, watching an ad resets the accumulated quota when the threshold is reached. On Web there is no accumulated-token check; only the server-side 6-hour and weekly cost caps apply (the next reset time is shown in the usage meter on the account screen).

※ Web keyboard shortcuts: press Enter to send, Shift + Enter for a new line. On mobile, tap the send button to send; Enter inserts a newline. The help chat uses the same shortcuts.

※ On the chat screen the sidebar keeps the history area large, so Tags, Archive, Trash and Settings are grouped under "Show more". Tap it to expand or collapse (other screens list them as before).
